Marisa Del Vecchio, MSW
Clinician
Hi all my name is Marisa. I grew up on the South Shore, surrounded by family, friends, and the kind of everyday support that taught me early on how much we all need connection. Being one of five siblings meant there was never a quiet moment, but it also meant I learned how to listen, communicate, and stay grounded in the middle of chaos — skills that have definitely carried into my work as a therapist.
I’ve always been drawn to understanding people and what helps them feel safe, seen, and supported. That curiosity led me to social work, where I found a field that combines compassion, curiosity, and the privilege of walking alongside others through life’s challenges.
Outside of the therapy room, I’m a self-proclaimed homebody who loves simple comforts. You’ll usually find me binge-watching shows, coloring or doing something crafty, traveling, hiking, or sitting by the beach listening to the waves. I live with my beloved indoor cat, Clover, who is convinced the basement is a dangerous place. For the record, I agree. Also, I do not like pickles, which I’ve been told is controversial, but I’m standing by it.
About
Why did I become a therapist?
I became a therapist because connecting with others has always been deeply meaningful to me. Being invited into someone’s inner world is a privilege I don’t take lightly, and my goal is to create a space where people feel safe to show up exactly as they are.
In sessions, I bring warmth, authenticity, and a grounded presence. I also believe that therapy doesn’t have to feel intimidating — a little lightness can go a long way. While the work we do together is meaningful, I’m not afraid to gently introduce moments of humor when it helps ease tension, build connection, or remind us that being human is messy and complicated for all of us.
Ultimately, I’m passionate about supporting clients as they navigate life’s challenges and reconnect with their resilience, clarity, and capacity for growth.
