Emily Doolin, LCSW
Clinician
I grew up on the South Shore, where family has always been the foundation of my life. From an early age, I was taught the value of connection, compassion, and showing up for others. These values led me to pursue a career in nursing, knowing I wanted to connect with others for a living. This eventually led me to redirect to the field of Social Work, and obtaining my MSW!
When I am not working, I am a proud homebody who finds joy in the simple comforts of life. You can find me binge watching horror movies in the company of a Chipotle burrito bowl. I love pouring rain, candles, string lights and DOGS. On the flip side, I do not like the beach or chocolate (I know - a lot to unpack here).
I am so lucky to bring my one-year-old golden retriever, Larry, to work with me daily! Larry is full of personality, he feels everything deeply (as many of us do!) and brings great comedic relief and comfort to sessions. He is currently in training to become a fully licensed therapy dog, which is a big goal of his! I can tell you with 100% confidence, you will make his best friend list.
About
Connecting with others has always been the thing that makes my heart the happiest. Discovering the avenue of social work has created a space to utilize my empathetic soul to support others and walk alongside them through the complexities of life. It is a true privilege to be trusted in holding space for the vulnerabilities of others.
Why did I become a therapist?
